About ISTC 2027
27–28 May 2027 | Istanbul, Türkiye
Istanbul Software Testing Conference (ISTC) is a meeting place for people who want to understand and improve software quality. It brings together testers, quality engineers, developers, engineering leaders, product specialists and researchers to share what works, examine what does not, and learn from one another.
The fourth edition takes place in Istanbul on 27–28 May 2027. The proposed format combines a hands-on Tutorial Day on 27 May with a Conference Day on 28 May. Participants can spend time practising a new technique, hear different approaches to familiar problems and continue the conversation with people from across the community.

Our theme
The Future Needs Testing
The intelligence to act.
The judgment to question.
Our 2027 theme, The Future Needs Testing, brings together the intelligence to act and the judgment to question. AI helps create code and tests and is increasingly part of the systems we use. Teams must also understand user needs, assess uncertainty, investigate failures and communicate risk. The quality of a decision depends on the evidence available and on the people who interpret it.
ISTC 2027 welcomes both established practices and emerging ideas: exploratory testing and test design; automation and engineering practices; testing AI-enabled and autonomous systems; performance, resilience, security and accessibility; and the human skills that help teams learn and collaborate. Our interest is in useful experience, clear thinking and the context behind a result.

A programme shaped by the community
The programme is shaped through an open Call for Proposals and review by the Program Committee. We encourage first-time speakers as well as experienced presenters to bring focused ideas, honest lessons and practical takeaways. A diverse range of experiences makes the conversation stronger.
Come with a question from your work. Leave with new perspectives, techniques to investigate and connections that can continue after the event.
